Moggie Monday – A crazy cat lady and sheep stories
Purrs! Welcome back to Moggie Monday, and this week we’ve found a heart-warming tale of a lovely lady who is helping our feral friends in Boston.
A self-confessed ‘member of a small, rag-tag, passionately committed, largely invisible and, yes, possibly unhinged, army of men and women who tend to street cats all over Massachusetts,’ Joni Nelson’s story featured in the Boston Globe this week.
On her rounds of the streets, Joni feeds and provides temporary homes for abandoned cats or those which never had a fur-ever home; giving them vaccinations and flea treatments, and even having them spayed and neutered.
She’s been doing this invaluable work for ten years – and has taken some 176 felines off the streets, feeding hundreds more.
Her full story, as told by the Globe, is well worth reading: While city sleeps, cat lady makes her rounds
Spring has sprung!
Spring has arrived in the UK – check out this sheep stuff!…
BBC2’s ‘Lambing Live’ has returned to our screens… here are a few more awkward moments for presenter Adam Henson from a few years back:
Yes, tomorrow Oscar is seven…
Seven years of loud meowing, big hunting, territory patrolling, cat fighting, handsome looking Oscar-puss!
Pop over and join in our party tomorrow… can’t wait to see you all!
