Our two moggies… still going
Hi all,
Wow! It’s been so long since we’ve written on this blog. Time has just been flying by and we’ve had so many other things going on.
The joy of blogging somewhat disappeared when we couldn’t upload any new pictures (guess we should stop being so tight and pay for the basic plan!!).
Anyway, enough of that… the important news.
Yes, it is 2021 and we still have Archie and Henry with us! Their big brother Ben is happy and well too.
Archie is 18 now and, sad to say, in recent times he has become very old. Fans of this blog will remember that he only had half of one of his ears. That was because he had cancer when he was very young – before we got him – and had to be operated on.
Well, I’m afraid the cancer has returned and he has an infection as well. It is probably a case of days rather than weeks for the old boy now, and we wanted all his friends to know.
Incredibly he continues to dominate this house and rule the roost in true Archie fashion.
Every night he shouts for his mum and for attention, and every morning he wolfs down whatever food he’s given and tells Ben off if he gets in the way.
We have a hard decision to make soon, but our boy is making it harder by carrying on as the Top Cat he’s always been.
We won’t post a picture of him now, because he looks so old, so here’s one of him in his sexy beast prime!

Henry is almost 14 now, which is unbelievable. He has taken over from our much missed Oscar as the noisy cat of the house and will literally scream until he gets what he want… and then in true cat fashion decide he never wanted it in the first place!
Anyway, we’ve rambled on long enough and I have no idea if anyone is still subscribed and gets this blog… so I might just be talking to myself lol
If you are reading this, hope you’re all well and we’ll try and do another update soon 🙂

I’m sorry to hear that Archie is so sick now. It is always hard to say goodbye to an animal friend. The kitties and I send hopes and purrs to you and Archie.
How absolutely wonderful to hear of you all again, and to know that all is ok still! 🙂 Well, not for Archie, I’m sorry to hear. I can very well imagine your feelings about having to let him go, but that’s one last favour you can do to him. It’s more than one time I had to do this. So I know hat is involved.
Anyway: I wish you all the best, and I hope to hear from you some other time.
Take care,
Pit
We send you all purrs and prayers for dear Archie. If he is still carrying on let him tell you when it is time. He will do that as Buddy did for us. Buddy ruled here till his last day and it took a year to shake out the fallout. Henry you be good. I am 14 along with Toby and we both are rolling along. Purrs for Mom and Dad too. It is harder on them that us when we are sick. Hope you have some nice posts this spring!
Wow…it has been a very long time. We are sad to hear Archie is failing, it 18 years is a very long life for kitties. We send him purrs and POTP. Wish you had given us a photo of Henry. Hope all is well otherwise. Our resident cats have changed with one passing and another joining. It is a continuous cycle. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet
OF course we are stlll “following” your blog. You are family. Our hearts break at the news about Archie but my goodness that boy has had the VERY best life full of love that he could have had thanks to you and Craig. I’m sure Henry will wonder where Archie has gone when the time comes. I’m just so sorry that Archie’s cancer came back – cancer is so sneaky. We send all of you big hugs – and just know we’ll be thinking about ALL of you but with special prayers for sweet Archie.
Hugs, Pam (and Teddy too)
Sweet Archie. I’m so sorry he isn’t feeling well. You and Craig have good Ben him such love my care and attention. It’s clear he knows how special he is to you. Sending him Savannah’s best comforting purrs and paw pats.
Good to know you are still blogging. I am sorry to read that Mr. Archie is sick. When he decides it is time to go, my kitties will welcome him at The Rainbow Bridge.
Peace,
Debby H.

First I was glad to see a new post from you and the furry boys. But so sorry to read this sad news about Archie. This must be so hard and painful for you. But I’m sure all the beautiful memories of Archie will give you some comfort. I’ll be thinking about you. Wishing you lots of strength.
I was so excited to see a post from you, but now I am sad that Archie is so ill. I am glad he is such a trooper though, he will let you know when it is time. XO
Time has flown by. We appreciate the update and Mom and I will surely say some prayers for those boys and for you and the doctors taking such great care of them. They have had long, wonderful lives filled with love, security, happiness, and adventure. None of us could ask for anything more. We love you. xo
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Sending Archie purrs.
Eighteen is a good, long life for a kitty, but it still is hard to know Archie’s doing poorly. Trust your heart on how to deal with his future, knowing it won’t be easy or what you seriously, really want to do. Hugs and best meows from my kitty boy Andy and me. We had to deal with the death of his brother Dougy in the past year, and he was only two weeks past their ninth birthday.
I am so sorry to hear Archie is not well. I am glad though that he lived a long life in a good home. That is the best a cat can do.
We are very sorry to hear about dear Archie and we’re all sending our best purrs to him and to you too.
Sorry for loss. Loved your kitty. Hugs.
Sue
It is good to hear from all of you again – we are getting older too and in the last year lost four cats all ten or older)We are sorry about Archie but he sounds like he is not ready to go on to his next adventure yet. Purrs to Henry as he keeps on going too. (Our Oscar was one of the ones we lost last year to kidney disease)
Sending (((hugs))) about sweet Archie. Bobo was 18 when we lost him, Cody was only 13…..it is always hard but you were blessed to have each other so long. Keeping you in my thoughts/prayers.
