Sad day
This morning suddenly we had to say goodbye to our 12 year old cousin Toby 😦
Michelle’s mum was distraught on the phone as expected. What happened was he had breakfast then went outside and was poorly, next his back legs went thankfully he was being watched and was rushed to vets straight away. Cause was as he had a heart murmur a blood clot was going around his heart and slowly shutting his body down. There was no option and the whole family is distraught as we cannot believe our lion has gone and so quick.

We are grateful he is now with his ginger uncle Sammy (from One Spoiled blog)
and they are rolling around playing and getting to know each other.

Michelle, obviously in tears after, called the moggies as they are all outside and it was Oscar who ran to her and let her have a big hug. Oscar is very close by lately and very affectionate, which is not like him.

Michelle I am so sorry to hear about Toby……sudden leavings are so difficult but we have to be grateful that things happened quickly so there was no suffering. I’m sure Angel Sammy welcomed Toby with open arms and paws at the Bridge along with SO many other friends. I’m glad Oscar sensed you needed him for comfort and is doing his best to cheer you. I’m sending you a hug too……seeing Sammy on the couch during your visit here a few years ago brought back the memories of the fun it was having you here. Teddy seems to know that spot on the basement couch is “sacred” as he never lies there!

I’m so sorry to read that, and my thoughts and feelings are with you. Our 4-legged companions insert themselves so much into our hearts. It’s is so difficult to have to let them go. We lost our Sammy [https://wp.me/p4uPk8-1oI] just two weeks ago, too. But let’s think about their new good “life” on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

We are so sad to hear Toby had to go home to the Rainbow Bridge. Our Mr Buttons will be up front to greet him along with Sammy and all our dear blogging pals who have crossed. It is so hard to say good bye but he had a life well lived. Fly free dear Toby and watch over us all until that day when we all meet again as we must.
