Oscar chat time
Let me tell you a little story about Oscar yesterday
Neighbour (Zoe) was round having a cuppa with me in my lunch break yesterday when we notice Oscar coming up the garden path with a bird in his mouth. I asked Oscar to drop (yes sometimes he can behave like a dog :-)), which he did and to my amazement the bird was 100% unhurt and just in shock. Zoe passed the pan nearby and I managed to get the bird on it and take into the garage away from Oscar and Archie. The bird started flying around, which got us ladies very excited, so we closed the door to garage (we went in house way from garden) and run round front of the house to open garage door. As we opened the door the bird was sitting on a small waste bin still in shock. I lifted the bin gently and placed in the middle of the front garden and to our relief it flew away to safety. At this point another neighbours parents was driving out of the drive and witness this part and started clapping also with us. A very happy ending and wished I had it all on camera, but hopefully you can picture it all as you read 🙂
Here is Oscar Sunday 🙂
PS: meet Dobbi the new resident on our street who is a 21 week old chug. Isn’t she beautiful. I found out from my running partner that she was dumped back with his colleague as an unwanted pet, so asked if I knew anyone. I knew Zoe was after a pug, so asked her thoughts. That evening after one visit Zoe and her hubby fell in love and now she has spent the past week settling in to her new environment and is well loved. Dobbi got her new name as Zoe’s son whose charity I am raising money for (https://www.justgiving.com/StepForwardForAlfie/) wanted to have a dog before he became an angel and call it Dobby. You must agree Alfie sent Dobbi in his parents direction to keep his two brothers busy also 🙂
