Moggie Books

The Good The Bad and The Furry

I was really excited to read this book as we do follow Tom and his moggies on twitter and just find the Bear so adorable in the many hilarious photos posted of the old boy, however i did not find it a total joy to read.

It was one of those books that I found I kept putting down as I was getting frustrated as I was finding out more about him and his parents/friends/ strangers then the moggies themselves. Maybe I am spoilt that My Three Moggies do have a story to tell every day and expect other cat households (especially multi cats households) to be the same and that I should have lowered my expectations a notch or two before reading. I finally finished the book after three weeks of first turning the page and will say it is worth a read if you like chapters to change completely in format, reading about human relationships, toads, gardening and a fallen down house.

This is just my feedback and everyone is different in what they like. I am interested to know anyone else’s thoughts who has read the book so please share in comments.

The next two that I will update you all on once read 🙂

This book we are keeping away from Craig LOL 🙂

Anyone recommend another moggie book I should add to list for reading and review?

  1. I haven’t read it, but I think you have a fair review from the sound of it. Hope you had a great weekend!

  2. I read “The Tribe” by McCarty Griffin (an Amazon eBook), a nice feral cat, TNR adventure book.

  3. The last one sounds absolutely interesting, I bet a lot of humans will be surprised :o)

  4. Gosh – my Mom reads all kinds of stuff but not about cats – that last book does look like it might give away too many of our secrets though!!! HAHAHA

    Hugs, Sammy

    • I do not usually I love travel stories mainly but this I had to try. I have ordered another cat book today from a blogger I follow so will review once received and read x

  5. The last one sounds hilarious! i have been really laughing at Whiskerlist the Kitty Classifieds..which i was lucky enough to win from Caren and Cody….Laugh my bee-hind off and it’s got great pics too!! 🙂 i now of course fear leaving my four cats with my computer open!!! hugs Fozziemum xx

  6. All sound great but I’d love to hear those secret thoughts 🙂 I don’t have any suggestions but will think of you if I come across something!

  7. These look good. I will tell Dad and ask him to look back in our library for some titles. He reads to us nightly so we have a lot

  8. We feel the same when reading a book that is supposedly about cats. Read an mystery author recently and it seemed the cat was added. just to target some sales.

  9. If I read a cat book and it’s about the cat that is what I prefer to read unless it says how they found each other. I like “The Whiskerlists” book too.
    Sue B

  10. Gee, I haven’t read any of those…best polish off my reading glasses!

  11. I’d keep an eye on the secret thoughts book, Archie, Henry and Oscar might not want you to know them LOL

  12. Judy & C.A.T.S

These look like good books. Our Mom wants to read the one about the secret thoughts of cats. We will never tell her our secret thoughts. Love, Cali, Andy, Tater and Shelly (C.A.T.S)
