October 2013 Fur friend of the Month Misaki
Have you met the lovely Misaki before? whatever your answer is read on about our gorgeous Alaskan Malamute friend and learn something new about her 🙂
Why are you called Misaki?
Daddy loves everything Japanese, from Samurai swords to sushi, so when they chose a name it had to be a Japanese one. They’d picked a boy’s name (they assumed they’d get a boy), but they got me instead. So they frantically had to find a girl’s name. And after much thought and internet trawling, they came up with Misaki, which means beautiful blossom:-)
How did you end up in your furever home?
After a lot of persuading, Mummy had finally agreed to get a dog when they moved to our house from their tiny flat. Not long after they moved she decided to do some research into breeders and costs. But the breeder she’d contacted had recently had a litter and they agreed to visit, the plan being just to ask questions. And of course once they saw all the fluffy puppies running around they couldn’t resist. They originally set their hearts on a boy but as the boys had already been claimed it was down to me and my sister Inca. Daddy wanted us both but they couldn’t afford two so they settled on me, mostly because I’d run straight up to daddy and rolled on my belly. Some things never change lol
You go for many long walks, however what is your favourite route and why?
My favourite walk is probably on the common near where we live. There are tethered horses there which means lots of lovely horse poo!
I love filled hooves, they are tasty and stinky:-)
I don’t have one single superhero, but I think service dogs are amazing. Whether they are guide dogs for the blind, or dogs who help the disabled or people with disabilities. Absolutely incredible.
Tell us something we do not know about you already
That’s a hard one as I share pretty much everything. But you might not know that I get really excited about trains. As soon as I hear one my tail goes up and I want to run alongside it like superman did.
Thank you Misaki for agreeing to be our fur friend of the month we sure hope you have had many baths lately 🙂
