Fur Friends of the month and competition winner
Lets find out what all the fuss is about 🙂
January Fur friends of the month is Hiro and Suki from Cats&Co
1) Picture of Suki and Hiro
2) How did they get their names?
I’ve been searching the internet for names, for days! I wrote down a couple of names, and we chose the one that fit the best. The names are Japanese, (Suki means: to be loved. And Hiro means: Generous), but our goal was to have a name that was short, and sounded nice in the mouth. We ended up with Suki and Hiro. (Hiro’s name was actually ‘Puma’ when he was in the shelter).
3) Tell us something funny about each one
When Hiro gets bored, and we don’t have time to play with him, or we’re occupied. He will meow and jump against the wall like he’s trying to grab something that’s high. He will eventually try to knock the phone off the horn that’s on the wall.
Suki is a drooler! As soon when she’s in an euphoric mood (purring, etc) she starts drooling BIG TIME.
4) What is their favourite treat?
We recently found out that Hiro loves kaki fruit. But his favorite treat is fish or meaty sticks. Suki prefers meat over fish, she loves those meaty sticks as well, but she also loves pear and bananas.
5) What is their favourite toy?
Suki likes everything fluffy. Especially fluffy balls. The tinier, the better! Hiro’s favorite toy are feathers. Sadly we don’t allow him any feathers because he eats them, and it’s hard to get feathers away from him. He will growl when we try to get his feather from him.
6) Which big cat do they see themselves as (e.g Archie is a lion, Oscar is a Panther and Henry is a snow leopard)
This is difficult!
Suki: Panther. Just like panthers (especially the black ones, but Suki isn’t black. Haha) can look very intimidating, yet they seem relaxed and laid back. Just like Suki.
Hiro: A Lion Cub, hahah! They are playful and cute, but the older they get, the more pride they get! Oh, and they are clumsy. 😉
A huge thank you to Dianda, Hiro and Suki for being our fur friends of the month. Please visit their blog as they have many informative posts generally about cats and of course updates on Hiro and Suki 🙂
Finally the winner of our first competition we held this week goes to Hiro and Suki from Cats&Co. A lot of effort went into their response so we are going to show the result tomorrow :-).
Happy Sunday 🙂
