Hiding from the storm
Wow! Today’s been a storm – literally…
Oscar went for a little patrol earlier and before he knew it was raining cats and dogs – or more accurately ON cats and dogs.
So we’ve run inside now and Oscar and Archie are hiding under the stairs – chatting about what we’re going to do tomorrow when the sun comes out again.
Henry, meanwhile, is getting a long brush from Mum. He loves a good brush, and there’s a lot of fur coming off him now!
With any luck we’ll all be ready to enjoy some sun, sun, sun tomorrow.

Whee had sunshine and fun all morning but then it started raining too. Not fair.
Sun whee demand you return immediately! 🙂
xxxx
well…I don’t seem to mind the thunder so much…but am having a bit of trouble letting Dad near me again since the ‘nail trimming’ event 2 weeks ago…sigh…but I so hope you get some sun puddles soon…but maybe not so hot?!
We had storm yesterday evening too. But I am not aloud to go out at night anyway.
Wishing you more sun to come!
Purrs…
Oh Texas why can you not go out? Oscar loves going out at night, however Archie and Henry prefer to go out in the day. Henry time clock to be honest is all over the place. He is such a free spirit 🙂
Geez my human did it again – **allowed** not aloud
My human thinks it’s dangerous at night. She talked about coyotes having been spotted in the area we live in the previous years.
Hey Archie, Hey Oscar, Hey Henry, Jet here.
Our pal, Savannah, mentioned you in her post sharing her Sunshine Award with us!
We have two felines, Puffy and Fluffy, along with my K9 sister, JJ. Sorry to learn about your storm, we’ve had a bunch the last week as well. Puffy and Fluffy live in our house 24/7, so, they’re chill about storms. JJ and I, well, we’re a mess! I hope you have lots and lots of warm sunpuddles to enjoy today. Thanks for sharing the award with Savvy, she’s a sweetie.
Hi Jet! We probably exaggerate our storms – half an inch of rain is a flood to us Brits and, conversely, 25 degrees is a heatwave!
Savvy is a star, well deserved award winner!
Hey Archie, Hey Oscar, Hey Henry, Jet here.
It’s in the eye of the beholder, right!! We can get 8 inches in one afternoon, not to mention hurricane stuff… today is 90 without the heat index, so, we go out at sunrise and sunset for our longer walks.
It looks like Henry’s enjoying that brush… Fergus loves being brushed too – you could knit another cat with the amount of fur that comes off her – sounds like you might be in the same boat!
Does Fergus loose hair freely? Henry I have to brush it for it to come off. Oscar tends to shed hair twice a year and Archie is just all year round 🙂
She sheds far too freely. She sheds black hairs freely on my light coloured clothes. She sheds white hairs freely on my dark coloured clothes. I am constantly surprised that she has any fur at all. Like Archie, she sheds all year. 🙂
Texas the only things we have that are scary are humans in cars, with air guns ( Henry has been both run over and shot – there is a previous blog about it x) , foxes, hedgehogs and maybe a badger. You sound like you have it a lot worse over there.
